Group Programs
Our groups are a great opportunity for your child to learn & practice particular areas of development in a fun and motivating environment. They are delivered through therapist directed learning & peer interactions, with specific focus areas including:
- gross and fine motor skills
- social skills
- emotion regulation
- executive functioning
- pretend play
- school readiness
- feeding
- sensory processing
2024 Summer School Holiday Group Programs
Ability Focus Occupational Therapy are continually developing group programs to meet a range of needs in the community, by gathering suggestions & feedback from parents, carers & children. We also have the privilege of developing groups with other health professionals such as Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Physiotherapists.
To make sure your child gets the most out of their group experience, we take a child-centred approach by placing children in a junior, senior or all ages group based on their developmental age, rather than their chronological age. This is to ensure they are comfortable and confident with their peer group and the activities on offer. An approximate guide is 4-7 years (junior) and 8+ years (senior).
2024 Summer School Holiday 1:1 Programs
In addition to our group programs, we also offer programs focusing on a range of goals with one to one support between your child and an Occupational Therapist.
