Amanda is a Newcastle girl who returned home after stints living in Canberra and Sydney. Amanda studied law and had a career in the public service before following her passion and completing her Masters of Occupational Therapy at The University of Sydney. Amanda loves having returned to her home town and working again in the wonderful close-knit Newcastle community.
Amanda knows that every child is unique and enjoys discovering every child’s strengths and interests during therapy. She loves that all children have the ability to make you smile (often at the most unexpected moments). Amanda recognises the vital role of parent and teacher education in helping a child reach their OT goals and prioritises this in her sessions.
Fun fact: Amanda loves to run through Glenrock and swim laps in Merewether baths (even though she can’t swim straight and ends up swimming many extra metres!).
