Occupational Therapist
Miriam is a registered Occupational Therapist who originally joined our team as an Occupational Therapy Assistant whilst completing her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Newcastle. Miriam grew up in the Blue Mountains, where she enjoyed exploring the bush. Miriam also has a love for movement and became a swim instructor while completing a Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science at Sydney University.
She is studying again with the desire to help children and families engage in all of life’s meaningful activities. Miriam thoroughly enjoyed her second year paediatric/project placement with Surfing the Spectrum and is excited to work in paediatrics into the future.
Miriam relishes the opportunity to engage in play with children and appreciates the uniqueness of each child. She feels privileged to be in a position where she can listen, encourage and support children and families to learn to together and experience opportunities for growth.
Fun fact: Miriam swims most days, but she also enjoys skating fast on her rollerblades at the park or on her ice skates at the ice rink!
